Making up for lost time

Post by neil_thomson »

Hey,

It's been a while pals... What's everyone been up to? Any TO(FN) related activities? Or anything else fun/exciting? We've been hard at work on things which will be revealed soon enough. I went on holiday to Yorkshire a couple of weeks ago which was very relaxing. Being back at work is hard, but it's also nice to stay busy.

Feel free to ask any questions about the EP or anything else band-related.

Love from Neil xx

Hi Neil! Loved the ICA show. Hope there's another chance to see the aborted crazy sounding delay song.

Recently I'e been to Portugal which was lovely. This week I'm seeing two of my absolute favourite "singer songwriters" (in big inverted commas): Richard Dawson last night in Clapham was amazing and then an upcoming set from Kiran Leonard at the ivy house on Saturday which I'm incredibly excited for.

on the EP:
- what's happened to the copper plates from the cover? Will there ever be an exhibition where we can view them in person?
- how did you finally decide on the titles for all the ones that changed? I notice you still called it 'Big One' on a setlist, are there different factions within the band that can't agree?

Hi Dale! So sorry for the late reply, we've been working hard...

Glad you enjoyed the ICA, you'll definitely get to hear the delay song before too long. I love Richard Dawson, saw him at Barbican a while ago.

The copper plates are still at Bill's house I believe! An exhibition is a good shout, although it would have to be in the world's smallest gallery since they're not very big. Maybe we'll sell them one day, who knows. As for the songs, we're gradually getting used to the new names but might use the old ones accidentally. It's also quite a nice Easter egg for people who get the setlists (albeit confusing for anyone uploading them to setlist.fm). There are certainly members that understandably prefer the old titles, but personally I'm keen on the new ones. There's probably a Stockholm syndrome effect with them.

Neil.
