what mics did you use in the production of the EP? i'm a producer and i'd love to try and recreate the guitar sound from the singles, it sounds absolutely massive :3
also, which track took the longest to come together?

Why is the EP called Plan 75? Is it in reference to the film?
How would you describe the themes of the EP? What inspired those?
If each song was a soup, what would they be? (humour me here!!)
Lastly, TYSM for the awesome music!!!

Why did you choose to release 3 singles on a 4 song ep?
Will there be cds?

I think wake robin would be a brothy soup of some kind. I would say ramen with all the fancy toppings (marinaded eggs, shiitake mushrooms and such) but I'm not sure how open people are to ramen being a soup.
Skins is definitely a top tier tomato soup. Preferably with a hunk of bread and some mozzarella.
The strip used to be something spicy and similarly homogeneous in texture but it got left on the stove for too long and now there are some burnt bits floating around.
Yet to be released is the best cocktail you've ever had.

We released three because we weren’t precious about this release cycle because it’s part of a broader picture

a handful of questions:
1. how did it feel going from Windmill to Green Man to well anticipated EP pretty quickly? know you guys have been around for a bit, but things have gotten hectic lately it seems with all these fests and singles and Plan 75 around the corner!
2. how long has the tracklist for the EP been set in stone for?
3. does the little disgusting face guy from the Skins MV have a name? can we give it one? i'd like that. thanks to(fn)!

1. Pretty amazing, although it felt like more of a gradual build to us. By the time we did Green Man, we already had a solid following in London which felt like a massive step up from where we started. Winning the rising competition was a crazy feeling, and spurred us on - in Timothee Chalamet's words, it was "a little more fuel. It's a little more ammo to keep going". Having said that, I think a big chunk of our current fanbase was around before then. But yeah, the growth of the band has been by far the most rewarding thing I've done in my life so far.
2. It was set in stone about a month before we recorded the EP. We recorded it at the end of May 2024, so I guess around end of April we decided those were the tracks we'd record. We ended up switching the order of the tracks though, and I'm much happier with the order we settled on in the end.
3. He's less of a character, more of a feeling. If I were to label this feeling, I would call it "anguish".

Hey,
I'm not sure which mics were used for the guitars, but lemme ask my producer and get back to you.
That being said, most of the sound comes from the choice of guitars, pedals and amps, so here's some info on what I used for my guitar sounds...
The two electric guitars I used were both hollow body models provided by the studio (Echo Zoo). I was really keen on using hollow body guitars to get a 60s, Beatlesy sound. A Vox AC30 amp was used on every track. Also most of the soft fingerstyle guitar parts (e.g. at the start of wake robin) are layered with classical guitar which we overdubbed later.
Skins:
Hagström Viking Guitar
For the distorted parts:
Boss DS-1 Distortion pedal
Boss SD-1 overdrive pedal
( ^ These two pedals are the ones I use live for my distortion sound)
Classical guitar overdubs - Giannini GN80
Escape from New York (SPOILER ALERT):
Harmony h-75 guitar
Classical guitar overdubs - not sure about the model, it was a guitar provided by The Church Studios
Wake Robin:
Hagström Viking Guitar
The Big Trees guitar pedal - provided by our producer, Balazs
Classical guitar overdubs - Giannini GN80
The Strip:
Harmony h-75 guitar
MXR Dyna comp pedal
Custom distortion pedal.... Not sure about the model
For Bill's setup, I believe he mostly used his Fender Jazzmaster, with a Boss OD-3 pedal. For the heavier distortion sounds, I think he used a Marshall Shredmaster (same as his live setup) on some songs, and The Big Trees pedal on others... We had to take it in turns using the big trees pedal because it was so damn good!
