Obsoite is the one thing in Season 12 that'll quietly stop your progress cold. You can have a solid build, plenty of gold, even a stash full of decent drops, and you'll still end up staring at upgrade costs you can't pay. I did the usual "run whatever's up" routine for a while and, yeah, it barely moved the needle. If you're trying to smooth out the grind, it helps to plan around your upgrades and your stash at the same time, and even keep an eye on D4 items for sale options when your rolls just won't cooperate.

Start with Strong Rooms on Torment 4
The core of the loop is simple: you want Nightmare Dungeon Sigils with the Horadrim Strong Room affix, then you run them on Torment 4. T4 can feel rough if your defenses are shaky, but the return is the point. A clean Strong Room clear can land you in the ballpark of 800 Obsoite, and that's the kind of number that actually changes what you can craft in a single session. The best part is how predictable it feels compared to random open-world farming. You're not hoping. You're cashing in.

Use Escalation Sigils the moment they drop
After a Strong Room, you'll often pick up an Escalation Nightmare Sigil. A lot of people hoard these "for later" and then wonder why their stash is a mess and their momentum dies. Don't do that. Pop it right away. Escalation dungeons stack layers, and those layers tend to be stuffed with more Strong Room opportunities. It turns one good run into a chain of good runs. You'll also keep your sigil economy moving, which matters more than people think when you're farming every day.

Asteroth sustain and what to do with Bloody Sigils
At the end of the Escalation path you'll meet Asteroth. Always kill him, even if you're tired and just want to port out. He's the sustain button, because he has a high chance to drop two fresh Strong Room sigils. That's how the loop feeds itself. You will also roll Bloody Sigils along the way, and yeah, they sting because the immediate rewards don't feel as clean. Still, run them. They can lead you back into more Strong Rooms and can still cough up Escalation sigils, which is what keeps the whole thing from collapsing.

When the chain breaks, rebuild it fast
Sometimes you'll hit a weird dry spell and run out of the right sigils. It happens. When it does, don't spiral—just do a short reset: a couple Helltides, a few Tree of Whispers turn-ins, anything that gets new Nightmare Sigils flowing again. Then you're right back to Strong Rooms and Escalations, farming Obsoite with purpose instead of wandering.
