The first American football album

Post by lucaslockeridge »

Just rediscovered the first American Football album again after not listening for so long. What a fucking album, just so many great songs one after the other.

Any american footballer debut albumers in here?

(sadly I do not care about anything else they have made)

Absolutely beautiful album. Never found anything quite like it, particularly The One With the Wurlitzer. What an amazing way to close out a debut.

I saw them play the roundhouse last year — all a little older and sometimes having trouble with the technical side of the music (particularly the trumpet solos) but the atmosphere was absolutely incredible, I felt like I was hearing it all for the first time. In the background on a screen they had a slideshow of The House that's on every cover and music video and merchandise etc. etc. weird how a fairly normal building can be so emblematic of a completely abstract feeling.
Put your face together, better get it right.
